GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Dorm check in. Meetings. Breakfast. More meetings. Pre-physicals and equipment check out. Even more meetings.
It's been a pretty administrative start to the 2010 University of North Dakota football season. For a few hours this week, however, a few of the upperclassmen got the chance to let loose and have some laughs.
New footage was shot for the video spots used for UND's home games at the Alerus Center. Senior Ty Boyle tested the maximum capacity of the audio levels. Junior fullback Catlin Solum showed the real reason why he doesn't perform end zone celebration dances. As for senior quarterback Jake Landry? Well, maybe that footage should be left on the cutting room floor.
Senior linebacker Ryan Kasowski filmed some of the behind-the-scenes, which you can watch on FightingSioux.com. You'll have to watch the rest of the spots live at UND games this season.
The fun only lasted for a short time, however. The Sioux Run is next on the plate, scheduled for tonight at Memorial Stadium. The anaerobic fitness test totals 850 yards.
The first practice is set for tomorrow morning at Memorial Stadium.
