GRAND FORKS, N.D. - University of North Dakota Volleyball Head Coach Jeremiah Tiffin arrived in Grand Forks in December 2018 as the Fighting Hawks Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator. By the end of May, Tiffin was the announced as the program's 13th Head Coach.

Though he's worked with the team through offseason weight training and spring practices and individual sessions, UND volleyball's Tiffin era had its first serve of Fall preseason camp with a pair of practices on Aug. 10.

UND will practice a total of 16 days this preseason that will include an open session on Aug. 17 at 3 p.m., for fans to watch the team practice at The Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Admission to the practice is free and snacks will be provided for the fans at the practice while they last. Fans will also have a chance to interact with the players after the practice.

A healthy mixture of returning faces (10) and newcomers to the program (six) comprise the North Dakota roster this season. While there are only four upperclassmen on the roster that includes one junior college transfer, the Fighting Hawks return five players that appeared in at least 50-percent of the teams matches.

The lone senior on the squad, Ashley Brueggeman, enters the season on the cusp of the 1,000-kill club, a mark only surpassed by 17 student-athletes University of North Dakota history. In 100 career appearances, Brueggeman has amassed 851 kills for an average of 2.39 kills per set.

The team will open the season on Aug. 30 at the University of New Orleans Tournament, taking on the host Privateers and Arkansas Pine Bluff.
