Bubba Schweigert to serve as 2025 Potato Bowl USA Grand Marshal

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Current Senior Associate Athletic Director for Engagement and Mentorship Bubba Schweigert has been named as the 2025 Potato Bowl USA Grand Marshal.
 
Schweigert will help kick off a Saturday full of events in the Greater Grand Forks Community, beginning with the annual KEM Shrine Potato Bowl Parade that will run through Downtown Grand Forks and Downtown East Grand Forks beginning at 10:00 a.m.
 
The fun continues at Alerus Center, with tailgate lots opening at 11:00 a.m., Slamabama performing on the Bluepeak Fiber Internet Band Stage in the Bud Light Tailgate Village starting at 2:00 p.m. and the infamous French Fry Feed taking place in the parking lot of Alerus Center from 2:00-4:30 p.m.
 
For only the 18th time in the history of Alerus Center (2001-present), UND football will host a night tilt against Portland State in the 59th annual Potato Bowl USA Game. North Dakota is 46-12 all-time in the game, including a 2-0 mark against Portland State.
 
Following the game, fans will be treated to postgame fireworks just outside Alerus Center.
