AZUSA, Calif. – The Fighting Hawk track and field team split between three meets between two states on Friday afternoon with a plethora of personal bests pouring in from California and Texas.

BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
Distance runners put on a show in the opening day of competition at Azusa Pacific, with the marquee headline coming in one of the final races of the night for North Dakota. In heat one of the invite 5000-meter run, Jadyn Keeler broke yet another of her own school records. Her clocking of 15:26.98 rewrote UND history and retains her status as the lone Fighting Hawk in program history to run a sub-16 time in the event. It currently tops the conference so far this season and would sit fourth on the NCAA West Qualifying List.

The day kicked off in the Open B section of the 5000-meter run when Ethan Adams crossed the finish line just shy of his PR at a time of 14:32.27 to take 31st-place overall. That time now sits fifth in the conference so far this season and is sixth in UND history. In the women's half of the Open B section, Sonja Lindemann ran a personal best time of 17:26.31.

Shewaye Johnson finished fourth overall in the women's Open A section of the 5000-meter run with her time of 16:22.37 that now ranks third in school history and second in the conference. Naja Weiler also finished 19th in the section off her PR time of 16:37.18, which takes seventh on the UND Top 10 list and breaks into the top-five of the conference performances.

In the Open A section of the 800-meter run, Olivia Correale clocked a PR of 2:10.09 to take 20th place while breaking into the UND Top 10 at fifth all-time. She also now holds onto third in the conference as Gabriella Ruggeri finished close behind in 2:10.97, just .32 seconds off her own PR. For the UND men in the Open A section, Till Woldrich broke into the UND Top 10 with his PR time of 1:50.48 that now ties for fifth in school history and is fourth in the conference.

Brooklyn Brouse crossed the finish line in 2:07.44 in the invite section of the women's 800-mter run to mark a new personal best and rewrite her spot as second on the UND Top 10 list. That time now sits second in the conference.
