GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota moved up to No. 8 in the Stats Perform poll and No. 9 in the AFCA Coaches' poll following a 42-21 victory over LIU in a week zero clash.

The Fighting Hawks jumped out to a 42-0 halftime lead on the Sharks and remained unbeaten in season-opening home games since moving to the Division I level (19-0).

UND is joined by four other Missouri Valley Conference programs in the Stats poll and five others in the AFCA poll.

Nodak remains at home this Saturday to play St. Thomas in what will be the first meeting between the two programs at the Division I level and first overall since 1964. Kickoff against the Tommies is set for 3 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on Midco Sports and streamed on Midco Sports Plus and ESPN+.
