Indoor (Freshman): Placed second in the shot put (60-11 1/4, 18.57m) and fifth in the weight throw (59-3, 18.06m) at the Summit League Championships ... His throw in the shot put set the school record and earned him a spot on the All-Summit League Team ... Posted the No. 3 mark in program history in the weight throw at the SDSU Indoor Classic with a toss of 62-4 (19.00m) ... Won seven shot put titles and three weight throw crowns during the regular season ... Named the Kwik Star Summit League Men's Peak Newcomer of the Month in December ... Picked up the title of Kwik Star Summit League Men's Peak Performer of the Week three times (Dec. 17, Jan. 28, Feb. 11).
Outdoor (Freshman): Finished as the runner-up in the shot put at the USATF U20 Championships with a toss of 68-7 3/4 (20.92m) ... With that throw, Thomas moved up to No. 9 all-time in the United States with the 6kg shot put weight ... His second-place finish was also the best by any individual at the meet in UND's Division I history ... Qualified for the USATF U20 Championships with a shot put throw of 63-7 3/4 (19.40m) in the elite section at the Triton Invitational and won the title, while setting the school record ... That mark also qualified him for the NCAA West Preliminary Round, where he was 35th in the shot put with a toss of 57-11 1/4 (17.66m) ... Earned two spots on the All-Summit League Team with a runner-up finish in the javelin (201-10, 61.53m) and a third-place finish in the shot put (58-0 1/4, 17.68m) ... His javelin mark was a PR and sits No. 5 on the UND top-10 list ... Also placed fourth in the discus (175-5, 53.47m) and 10th in the hammer throw (166-8, 50.81m) at the conference meet ... Recorded the No. 2 throw in the discus in school history with a throw of 181-2 (55.21m) at the USD Tune-Up ... Before UND: Won the shot put (63-11), discus (191-7) and javelin (185-7) titles at the 2024 NDHSAA Class A State Championships ... Became the first student-athlete to capture all three crowns at the state meet since 1915 ... All of his marks at the state meet were also his prep-bests.
