Originally from Bismarck, ND, Kara Wetzel joined the Department of Sports Medicine in 2018.  A 2016 graduate of UND with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training, Wetzel went onto graduate school and became a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Northern State University.  There she provided service to the Men's Wrestling team and the Men’s & Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field teams and graduated with a Master of Science in Education in sports performance and leadership. Wetzel provides service to the Women’s Softball team at UND.
