- 2026 All-Summit League Honorable Mention
2026 (Senior): Hit .274 with five home runs, 30 RBIs, 24 runs, 46 hits and 12 walks across 52 games and 168 at-bats... Led the team in at-bats, RBIs and was tied for team lead in home runs... Recorded a hit in 31 games with 11 multi-hit games... Had four games with three hits... Drove in a career-high six RBIs on 4/19 against South Dakota, the most by a NoDak player since the 2015 season... Clobbered two home runs on 3/7 against Farleigh Dickinson... Drove in at least four RBIs on three different occasions against UT Arlington (4), Farleigh Dickinson (4) and South Dakota (6)... Scored a run in 19 different games with two runs in five different contests... Had six doubles on the year with a .452 slugging percentage... Became the programs all-time most games played leader on 4/24 against NDSU... Recorded 184 putouts and 21 assists behind the plate with a .967 fielding percentage.
2025 (Junior): Hit .273 across 56 games and 54 starts... Recorded three home runs and 24 RBIs, with a .446 slugging percentage across 139 at bats... had 38 hits, 32 runs and 25 walks, which was second on the team... Had 10 multi-hit games and recorded three hits on Feb. 27 vs. Wofford... Had an RBI in 15 games, recording two or more in five contests and three against Colgate on March 7Â and Tarleton State on Feb. 22.
2024 (Sophomore): Started all 55 games she played in…led the team with 45 total bases and 23 runs scored…set a new career high with two runs scored against Minot State and a season high three hits against Illinois-Chicago…tied for the team lead with six doubles and finished with 31 hits…she finished with nine extra base hits, six doubles, one triple and two homers…successful on all five stolen base attempts…launched a three blast in the third inning of the 5-4 win at Montana that gave the Fighting Hawks a 4-0 lead, also launched a solo shot against UTEP
2023 (Freshman) – Played in 44 games with 43 starts, seeing action at third base and catcher…racked up 23 hits and scored 12 runs…launched her first career home run against Lindenwood on 2/28, finished the year with six extra base hits and she collected five doubles…finished the year with ten RBIs…picked up her first stolen base against Rider on 3/17
Before UND: Hopfauf was named All-State as a freshman and junior while leading Dickinson high to a state championship in 2020. She has displayed the ability to hit for power and average. As an eighth grader she hit 11 home runs and batted .446. A year later, as a freshman she repeated her 11 homerun effort with an average of .438. In her junior season she blasted 19 home runs and hit .538. The power hitting catcher plays club ball for the Dickinson Diamonds. On the court, Hopfauf was also all-conference in volleyball. Taya is a member of the National Honor Society.
