Andres Freeman joined the University of North Dakota in the Fall of 2016 and currently serves as the Assistant AD of Student-Athlete Support Services where he oversees academic services for UND student-athletes. His primary roles include academic advising for his assigned teams, tracking NCAA eligibility requirements for all athletes, APR reporting and incoming admissions assistance for athletes.

Prior to UND, Freeman spent four years at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, MN as an Academic Advisor/Admissions Representative. During his time at CLC he helped students and student-athletes prepare to transfer to a four year school or graduate with their 2 year technical degree. Before CLC, he found his passion of working with students when he worked four summers with Itasca Community College’s Upward Bound program helping first generation college students find their next path after high school.

A native of Walker, MN, Freeman enjoys family time with his wife Krystyna and their two children and dog Lola. Besides family time, supporting UND athletes at their events is one of his top passions. In February 2020 he was a recipient of the VPAA Award for Outstanding Professional Academic Advising at the UND Founders Day Banquet.
