Rochelle Hoover joined Fighting Sioux soccer as assistant coach on July 31, 2008.

 

Before coming to UND, Hoover served as a volunteer assistant at Weber State and as the head coach and trainer for the Avalanche Soccer Club since 2005. In 2007, Hoover helped to create the Junior Wildcats, a recreational soccer program at Weber State.

 

Previously, Hoover played for the Utah Spiders in the Women’s Premier Soccer League (WPSL) and signed a professional contract to play soccer in Norway before suffering a career-ending injury.

 

Hoover played four years for Division I Weber State in Weber, Utah. During Hoover’s career, the two-time Big Sky Conference tournament champions earned two berths in the NCAA Division I national tournament. Hoover was named a Big Sky All-Conference member three times and was named the Big Sky Conference Scholar Athlete of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year in 2005.

 

Hoover graduated from Weber State with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training in 2007.
