GRAND FORKS, N.D. ? Friday was a record setting day for the University of North Dakota's swimming and diving teams. The teams' success on the day widened both the men's and women's lead in North Central Championships held in the Hyslop Pool at UND.
The women hold first place with a score of 649 with second place going to Nebraska-Omaha (452), while the Sioux men maintained their first place position by increasing their total score to 823. St. Cloud State is currently in second place with a total point score of 462.5.

WOMEN
-200 freestyle relay team of Carissa Gormally, Natalia Busso, Lindsey Tande and Madonna
Dorsher set a NCC record of 1:34.21
-400 medley relay of Cathryn DeShaw, Sarah Wollenhaupt, Allison Maxwell and Dorsher clocked a time of 3:51.73 for a new record
MEN
-200 freestyle relay of Per Westergren, Pedro Pereira, Anthony Buhr and Eric Knight set a NCC record of 1:21.21
-Daniel Moraes set a record in the 200 freestyle with a 1:40.00
-Chase Fillingham of UND set a new NCC record in the 400 individual medley with a prelim time of 4:03.22 in the morning and then improved the record with a 4:02.20 time in the finals
-400 medley relay of Rodrigo Ferriera, Dan Hansen, Dan Zabler and Eric Knight matched the feat to finish the night with a new NCC record of 3:22.96
The final day of the meet is Saturday. The morning session will consist of preliminaries with finals being held in the evening session.
