North Dakota Player Quotes
North Dakota University-Players
Phillippe Lamoureaux, Goalie
Q. Lot of disappointment and sadness?
A. “Yes, I’m particularly sad for our seniors. This was their last shot. We had a mediocre first half of the season. We played just .500 hockey. Then we were one of the best teams in the country in the second half. This is a very special group and we just deserved to win.
Q. Those penalties killed you
A. “Yes, that was the difference in the game. We played short-handed at least nine times in the game. They really capitalized on their chances ? more than us.”
Ryan Duncan, Forward
Q. Are you in the running for the Hobie Baker Award?
A. “That’s secondary right now. I’m not even thinking about that. I just wish we could have won this game and gone onto the championship finals.
Q. How did the season go for you?
A. “It’s tough to say right now though I know it was special for all us. They (Boston College) just came out with a lot of energy and outplayed us. We deserved to win.
Q. How did your transition game go?
A. “It went OK. They were just a little sharper than us and it showed. We hated to let our friends down. We worked our tails off. We just didn’t win the game.
Chris VandeVelde, Forward
Q. “What kind of year was it?
A. It was a great year. It really was a good season. We showed a lot of work ethic and we had a lot of talent. I’m just sorry we list and it ended this way.”
