GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The Fighting Sioux women's hockey team's season came to an end with a 9-0 defeat to Minnesota. The Golden Gophers advance on to the WCHA Final Four on March 7-9 in Duluth, Minn.
Minnesota scored six first period goals with the first goal coming 11 seconds into the contest by Anya Miller. Miller tallied a hat trick in the contest.
North Dakota's penalty kills stopped five out of six Minnesota power-play chances. The Sioux were 0-5 on the power-play.
The Sioux finish the 2007-08 season with a 4-26-6 overall record and 4-20-4 in the WCHA.
