GRAND FORKS, N.D. ? With the threat of major flooding in Fargo and the surrounding area, various student-athletes from the University of North Dakota have elected to make the one hour trip south in order to help the community with preparations. 

Recognizing the need for volunteers, student-athlete representatives from football, men's basketball, and soccer, as well as some staff members, joined a number of other UND students in Fargo to help brace the Red River. Many volunteers were transported via buses organized by the UND student government.
