GRAND FORKS, N.D. --- University of North Dakota center Josefine Jakobsen, who produced two goals - including a game-winner in overtime - to help her team to a two-game conference split at Minnesota last weekend, is the WCHA Women's Rookie of the Week for February 22. She also earned the weekly honor on February 1.

A freshman from Aalborg, Denmark, Jakobsen provided the heroics last Friday (Feb. 18), notching the game-winning goal on a power-play with just 36 seconds left in overtime, as UND earned a 2-1 victory over the host Golden Gophers. She then added her second goal of the weekend in last Saturday's (Feb. 18) 5-2 loss to UM. Along with her two goals, Jakobsen put six shots on goal in the series and earned a +1 rating.

The top scoring freshman in the WCHA this season, Jakobsen has 33 points (13g, 20a) in 33 games.
