GRAND FORKS, N.D. --- The University of North Dakota women's hockey team recently held its annual team banquet where it announced its 2012-13 team awards as voted on by the players and the coaching staff.

Seniors Jocelyne Lamoureux (Grand Forks, N.D.) and Monique Lamoureux (Grand Forks, N.D.) were voted the team's most valuable player and best defensive player, respectively, for the second consecutive season.

There was co-rookies of the year as Meghan Dufault (Winnipeg, Manitoba) led all freshmen in scoring with 41 points including 19 goals while Shelby Amsley-Benzie (Warroad, Minn.) came on strong in the back-half of her freshman campaign backstopping UND to its second-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance. She concluded the year with 19 wins and a 2.04 goals against average, both single-season program records.

Sophomore netminder Michelle Bonapace-Potvin (Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec) earned the teams academic award for the third consecutive year.
