How would you say your time playing hockey at UND has impacted your current life, whether it be your personal or professional life: "My time at UND forced me to develop strong time management skills; balancing school, hockey, and extracurriculars in college was the best training for the real world. I also met people at UND that to this day I consider my closest and best friends."
Favorite non-game hockey moment (i.e. practice, off-ice): "Running Rivard's 5k in under 24 minutes."
Favorite opponent: "Bemidji, because we had the best chance of beating them out of the WCHA teams."
What do you miss most from UND: "The sense of community and the pride the whole city of Grand Forks had in the school and sports."
If you could go back and give one piece of advice to your freshman-year self, what would it be: "Enjoy every second; it will be some of the best years of your life."
How did you get started in hockey: "I started skating when I was 5 years old and followed in the footsteps of my older brother."
If you could have played a sport other than hockey, what would you choose: "Speedskating."
Cookie dough ice cream or mint chocolate chip: "Cookie dough; actually Ben and Jerry's Half Baked: cookie dough and brownie."
Choose one to live without, Chipotle or Starbucks: "Starbucks; I don't drink coffee. In fact, I'm currently living without Chipotle which has not been easy…"
Where's the last place you went to outside of the country and what was the trip for: "I'm currently living in Stockholm, Sweden for graduate school. Prior to Sweden, I had been living in Kelowna, British Columbia since graduation."
If you could live anywhere in the world where would choose and why: "This is a hard one; somewhere warm, probably Costa Rica."
