Three to skate with Canada's National Women's Team

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Continuing to represent their native country on the national stage, North Dakota's Meghan Dufault, Becca Kohler and Halli Krzyzaniak were invited to Canada's National Women's Team Fall Festival that will take place Sept. 22-28 in Calgary, Alberta.

The invitation to the festival comes after the three were also invited to Hockey Canada's Women's Development Team selection came that took place in August. Dufault and Krzyzaniak were then named to the Development Team's roster for the three-game series against the U.S.

The trio is among a total of 58 invited to the senior women's team camp, including 10 players who won a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

The camp will help the Hockey Canada coaching staff select the lineup that will skate at the 2014 Four Nations Cup, and with additional scouting throughout the season, help select the team that will represent Canada at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship in Malmo, Sweden next April.

North Dakota women's hockey begins its 2014-15 campaign on Sept. 27 with an exhibition against the Toronto Jr. Aeros at Ralph Engelstad Arean at 7 p.m. UND then kicks off the regular season on Oct. 3, hosting RPI at 7 p.m.
