GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women's hockey team earned a total of 49 points to earn eighth place in the latest USCHO.com Division I Women's Poll.
The Fighting Hawks are coming off a road sweep of Minnesota Duluth, bumping them up one spot in the poll.
No. 2 Wisconsin and No. 3 Minnesota both earned sweeps this past weekend as well, the Gophers downing Minnesota State twice and the Badgers defeating then-No. 6 Bemidji State on the road. With the two losses, Bemidji State falls to No. 7 in this week's poll with 53 points.
North Dakota hits the road this weekend, Jan. 23-24, for a pair of games against No. 2 Wisconsin. Both Saturday's and Sunday's games will start at 2:07 p.m. (CT) at LaBahn Arena.
