GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- Lexi Klabo and Fallyn Freije combined for 41 points and 20 rebounds as host North Dakota earned its 10th consecutive home win Tuesday evening in an 82-54 victory over Mayville State.

Klabo surpassed the 20-point plateau for the fifth time already this season while posting her 11th career double-double with 24 points and 12 rebounds. Freije chipped in 17 points and eight rebounds in the win. Melissa Dailey added 15 points off-the-bench for North Dakota.

North Dakota led throughout as Freije scored on the game's opening possession and UND never relinquished the lead. The advantage quickly grew in the first quarter as Mikayla Renike's first career three-pointer made it 12-3 midway through the frame.

UND would hold a 21-12 edge after 10 minutes, getting seven of those off second-chance opportunities and scoring nine points off of Mayville State turnovers. That would be a theme for the evening as North Dakota turned MSU over 26 times and scored 31 points off of those turnovers.

The advantage hovered around a dozen for the bulk of the second quarter and it was 37-25 at the break. Klabo score the first five points of the second half and later Melissa Dailey scored two of her 15 points as North Dakota took a commanding 54-33 lead.

Early in the fourth, a Sydney Gangl three trimmed the deficit to 60-49, but that was as close as the Comets would get. UND would hold Mayville State without a field goal for seven-plus minutes and went on a 17-1 run over that span to put the game out of reach.

Andi Gayner paced the Comets (9-4) with 18 points on 4-of-6 shooting from distance.

North Dakota (6-3), winners of six of its last seven games overall, closes out its non-conference home schedule Monday with Southwest Minnesota State. Tip time is set for 7:00 p.m.

Notes: North Dakota improved to 32-0 all-time against Mayville State in the regular season ... UND is 4-0 at home this season, winning by an average margin of 19 points ... North Dakota has won 10 straight games at the Betty ... Dailey's 15 points were tied for her highest point total as a Fighting Hawk ... North Dakota had 20 assists on 27 made baskets, both season highs ... Seven different UND players recorded multiple assists in the win ... Akealy Moton set a new career high with three assists ... Klabo's double-double was her 11th of her career ... She has scored 20-plus points in five of UND's nine games and has been in double figures in all but one.
