STATESBORO, Ga. - The University of North Dakota (4-1) picked up its fourth-straight win with a bookend shooting performance at Georgia Southern (0-3) Wednesday morning as the Fighting Hawks defeated the Eagles, 69-56. UND shot a combined 48.3-percent from the field in the first and fourth quarters, including a 58.3-percent clip in the final period.
In front of over 2,900 fans - including over 2,500 elementary school students -

"We were at Six Flags today; we were a little bit up and down riding a rollercoaster. That's the kind of game it was today," said Head Coach
Travis Brewster. "The big thing was we were on the road with that many kids hollering, but our effort was never in question. It was about rising to the challenge. I thought
Mikayla Reinke led unto victory with her tenaciousness and it got us to where we needed to be."
UND opened the Kid's Day tilt on a 16-5 scoring run as it shot 42 percent in the period while holding GSU to a nine percent clip. Though Georgia State closed the gap to six points at halftime, 31-25, North Dakota opened the third-period gangbusters as it built its largest lead of the contest after a
Lilly Keplin layup to make it, 43-29.
The Eagles closed the gap after the stoppage, going on an 11-0 run to make it a three-point game, 43-40. However, a trey by Borowicz sparked UND's flame again as it finished the game 7-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-6 behind the arc.
Jaclyn was 4-for-5 in the fourth quarter alone, hitting all three attempts behind the arc to close the period with 11 points.
Defensively, North Dakota held Georgia Southern to a 16-percent shooting percentage in the first and fourth quarters.
