MidcoSN to pick up NCHC Quarterfinal Round games

DU’s NCHC.tv production to air on 622 in Grand Forks area

DENVER-- Midco Sports Network will carry this weekend's upcoming National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC) Tournament Quarterfinal Round between North Dakota and Denver live from Magness Arena.
The games will be produced locally by the University of Denver and will feature Pioneer Vision branding as well as Denver's on-air talent. The production will be the same feed as streamed to the Internet via NCHC.tv and these games will still remain available on that platform as well.

"We thank our tremendous partners – MidcoSN, the National Collegiate Hockey Conference and the University of Denver - for all of the efforts to bring playoff hockey back to our fans in the MidcoSN footprint," North Dakota athletics director Bill Chaves said.

Coverage will begin at 8:00 p.m. Central on Friday and Saturday with a 7:00 p.m. Sunday game, if necessary, in the best-of-three series. As always, the games will also air on the Home of Economy Radio Network with Tim Hennessy providing play-by-play.

"We appreciate the collaborative effort by UND, DU and the NCHC to allow MidcoSN to carry these broadcasts," Vice President of MidcoSN Mark Powell said.  "As this is a Denver based broadcast, MidcoSN will produce content prior to the puck drop at 8:08 p.m. CST and during intermissions. We know North Dakota's faithful fans will enjoy the coverage."

MidcoSN is available on channel 622 (HD) and 27 (SD) in the Grand Forks area and can be seen in more than 330,000 homes and businesses in North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin with Midco cable TV. MidcoSN also partners with affiliates throughout the region to deliver MidcoSN through other providers.

The winner of this series will advance to the NCHC Frozen Faceoff in Saint Paul, Minn., at the Xcel Energy Center March 22-23.
