NOTES: #25 North Dakota aims for another ranked win at #21 Eastern Washington

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – RV/25 North Dakota hits the road for its first trip outside the state of North Dakota on Saturday, battling No. 21 Eastern Washington in Cheney. Kickoff is slated for 4:05 p.m. (CT) and can be seen live on MidcoSN or on the radio through the Home of Economy Radio Network.

This will be the fifth meeting between UND and EWU, with the Eagles enjoying success in the series. North Dakota will be searching for some success on The Inferno, losing by an average of 44.5 points in the previous pair of contests in Cheney. UND's last visit to Roos Field was Nov. 1, 2014, a 54-3 defeat in what was Keaton Studsrud's first-career start.

Something's gotta give in this weekend's showdown, as one of the nation's top passing offenses collides with the nation's top passing defense through four weeks. UND is allowing an average of 111.7 passing yards per game, the lowest total in the FCS entering this week. Through three games, the Fighting Hawks have held their opponents under 200 yards passing through three straight games for the first time since 2014 (vs. Robert Morris, at Missouri State, vs. Stony Brook). 2007 was the last time a UND team has done it four straight weeks, its last year of Division II.

After two straight games against ranked foes, the schedule doesn't get any easier for the Fighting Hawks the rest of the way. UND plays only one team (Cal Poly) that is currently unranked or not receiving any votes in either the STATS or Coaches poll until Nov. 16 vs. Northern Colorado, including three currently sitting inside the top-10.
