GRAND FORKS, N.D.-- University of North Dakota head hockey coach Brad Berry officially welcomed his incoming class of student-athletes for the 2020-21 season. Included in this talented class of seven are an NHL draftee and a handful of others who are prospects likely to hear their names announced when the delayed 2020 NHL Entry Draft occurs in October. 

Brendan Budy 
5-11, 181 - Forward (Langley, B.C.)
Before UND: Racked-up 150 career points in the BCHL, playing for the Langley Rivermen ... Charted 49 points with 19 goals and 30 assists in 50 games as an alternate captain in 2019-20 ... Played the first half of the 2018-19 season at the University of Denver, suiting for six games with no points in limited time ... Finished the season in the USHL with the Tri-City Storm, where he averaged a point per game with 11 goals and 20 assists in 31 games ... Prior to DU, led Langley with 22 goals, 34 assists, and 56 points during the 2017-2018 regular season ... Served as the team's captain ... Registered 45 points (15g-30a) the season prior at Langley ...  Skated for Canada West at the 2017 World Junior A Challenge, winning gold.

Riese Gaber

Named USHL's Forward of the Year and Player of the Year, becoming just the 23rd player in the 73-year history of the USHL to win both awards in one season ...
