NOTES: UND aims for back-to-back road victories

Next Game: at Oral Roberts
The University of North Dakota men's basketball team will go for the weekend road sweep over Oral Roberts on Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. from Tulsa. Fans can catch all the action on the ORU Sports Network or tune into Paul Ralston on the Home of Economy Radio Network.

Series History vs. Oral Roberts
This will be the sixth all-time meeting between North Dakota and Oral Roberts, with UND holding a 3-2 lead in the series.  With the win over the Golden Eagles on Friday, the Fighting Hawks registered the first back-to-back victories by a team in the series and was the first road win by either side.

Streak Busters
A few streaks were busted following UND's win on Friday night over Oral Roberts. For starters, it was UND's first road victory since Feb. 15, 2020 at Western Illinois, snapping a stretch of eight straight losses. On the other side, the Hawks handed ORU its first home loss since Jan. 29, 2020 at South Dakota State which also halted an eight-game winning streak.

ORU has not lost more than one home game since the 2018-19 season and has not lost back-to-back games at the Mabee Center since Jan. 31-Feb. 2, 2019.

UND has not won back-to-back road games since the Hawks rattled off three straight in February 2017 to clinch the Big Sky Conference title.

Finding Nero
This weekend will be a homecoming return for redshirt sophomore Caleb Nero who grew up in Tulsa, Okla. The guard spent his high school days at Tulsa Memorial where he led the school to a 5A state title with 24.8 points, 4.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds to earn state MVP honors. This will be his first collegiate game back in his home state.

50+ Menu
UND has struggled to put points on the board this season, averaging 61.8 points per game through 12 contests. That mark is the lowest in the Summit League and sits 319th in the country.

With the 72-point outburst in the win over Oral Roberts, UND snapped a streak of four straight games scoring under 60 points. The Hawks have a record of 2-3 over the last five games, however.
