NOTES: No. 8/10 North Dakota returns home to begin NCHC play

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – No. 8/10 North Dakota returns to Grand Forks to open NCHC play against longtime rival No. 11/13 Denver on Friday and Saturday from Ralph Engelstad Arena. UND and the REA will honor first responders and veterans with a Salute to Service weekend.

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio, FightingHawks and Varsity Network apps. The flagship station for the network is 96.1 FM (The Fox). Longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy calls the action while Steve Olson provides color analysis.

Both contests can be seen on Midco Sports with Alex Heinert and Jake Brandt providing the call. Fans can catch all the action anywhere in the world via an NCHC.tv subscription.

This will be the 301st all-time meeting between North Dakota and Denver, with UND holding a 154-130-16 advantage in the series.
The two schools met a whopping seven times last season, with UND claiming five of the seven contests. The Hawks won all three games in Grand Forks, including a 2-1 overtime win in the semifinal of the NCHC Frozen Faceoff.
The 300 games against Denver are the single most against any opponent in North Dakota hockey history.
