NOTES: North Dakota guns for sweep over Pioneers

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Tonight will be the 302nd all-time meeting between North Dakota and Denver, with UND holding a 155-130-16 advantage in the series. Ralph Engelstad Arena has been a house of horrors for Denver over the last few years, with DU falling to 2-11-5 over the last 18 games in Grand Forks against UND. The 301 games against Denver are the single most against any opponent in North Dakota hockey history.

No. 8 North Dakota rolled to its sixth straight win at The Ralph over the Pioneers Friday night, riding a 2-goal game from sophomore center Louis Jamernik and a sterling 22-save from senior goalie Zach Driscoll to a 3-1 victory in the opening game of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference season for both teams.

Thanks to Driscoll, the Bemidji State transfer, and Jamernik, who joined the team at mid-season last year, 11,058 fans saw UND extend Denver's streak of frustration at The Ralph.

Jamernik, who one goal last season and one so far this season, doubled his total in a single game while also playing a key role on faceoffs.
