Grand Forks, N.D. - Season ticket renewals for the 2021-2022 season for all North Dakota Fighting Hawk sports starts today. In conjunction with the start of the renewal process, the University of North Dakota Athletics Department along with Ralph Engelstad Arena have announced that all season tickets for 2021-2022 will be digital.
Â
"Digital ticketing enhances safety and convenience for our fans while also safeguarding against potential counterfeit tickets," said Associate Athletics Director for External Operations,
Kyle Doperalski. "In addition, by moving to digital tickets, it will also allow us increased flexibility in adapting to potential schedule changes."
Digital tickets are scanned upon entry into each venue from a smart phone. Enhanced safety to minimize contact upon entry, digital tickets give fans the ability to enjoy more control in the management of tickets. Nationwide, digital ticketing has increased significantly over the last several years including before the COVID-19 pandemic.Â
As was the case prior to the transition to digital, season tickets remain in account holders' "My North Dakota Account."Â Account holders credentials to log in to their My North Dakota accounts hasn't changed as the email address is used to access season tickets.
Parking Passes and North Dakota Champions Club membership cards will be mailed in August.Â
UND students have already successfully transitioned to mobile ticketing. Â Â Most aspects of the 2021 NCAA Hockey Fargo Regional used digital tickets. Â Digital ticketing will now be in place for all season tickets for Fighting Hawk football, volleyball, hockey and men's and women's basketball.
More operational information on digital ticketing will be available this summer.
Single game tickets bought in person at the box office will be physical paper tickets.Â
