NOTES: Title defense begins with quarterfinal showdown vs. Colorado College

GRAND FORKS,  N.D. – No. 5 North Dakota is set to open the postseason on its home ice against familiar foe, Colorado College, in the NCHC Quarterfinals from Grand Forks, N.D. in a best-of-3 series.

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio, FightingHawks and Varsity Network apps. The flagship station for the network is 96.1 FM (The Fox). Longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy calls the action. 

Both games can be seen on Midco Sports with Alex Heinert and Jake Brandt calling the action. A live, 30-minute pregame show will also air prior to Friday's contest on Midco Sports. The entire series can also be seen on NCHC.tv, with a subscription.

Friday will be the 266th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Colorado College, with UND holding a 170-84-11 advantage in the series.

UND notched the sweep during the regular season, claiming all four meetings. In those four wins, the Hawks outscored the Tigers, 15-5.
The 170 wins over Colorado College are the most over a single opponent in the history of the program.
UND has won 11 straight over CC.
