Series History vs. the Golden Eagles
Thursday will be the 11th meeting between the Hawks and the Golden Eagles—ORU owns a 7-3 edge in the series and has won the last five in the series. The most recent UND win was January 8, 2021, a 72-71 game in Tulsa.
ORU took the first meeting this season 84-72 in a game that was tightly contested most of the game.

Last Time Out
North Dakota won their third straight game Saturday in an overtime thriller against Omaha 76-73. Matt Norman led the Hawks with 21 points and drained four three pointers. Jalun Trent had his first double-double in a Hawks uniform with 12 points and 13 rebounds. Tsotne Tsartsidze scored 17 points and grabbed nine boards while Brady Danielson scored 15 points and drew five offensive fouls over the course of the game.
The Hawks trailed by 11 points in the first half before coming back to win, it was the first time the team overcame an 11 point deficit since March of 2020 against South Dakota. The game featured 20 lead changes and 13 ties as it was undoubtedly one of the most exciting games of the season so far for the Hawks.

North Dakota enters the matchup with the most bench scoring in the Summit League and is No. 38 team nationally in that category. The Fighting Hawks are averaging 25.63 points per game from the reserves this season. The next closest bench in the league is Omaha with 23.93.

Shaking it up
North Dakota used their ninth different starting lineup combination of the season the last three games (Jalun Trent, Matt Norman, Brady Danielson, B.J. Omot and Tsotne Tsartsidze), which equaled the number of different combinations used last season. On the team, Tsartsidze has the most active consecutive starts currently with 47, followed by Omot with 27. Danielson and has started the last 14 games and Trent the last 12.
