COLLEGE PARK, Md. – After getting a win in their opening game this weekend, the North Dakota Softball team took the diamond for two games Saturday—a second straight day with a game against Rider and then taking on Texas Tech. The Fighting Hawks fell to Rider 9-1, with Jessie Niegocki picking up the win and Camryn Lasota taking the loss. Baylee Howley scored the lone run of the game for UND in the fifth.
In game two UND fell to Texas Tech 12-1, Erna Carlin got the win for the Red Raiders while Jackie Albrecht took the loss. Madison Pederson collected her 19th RBI of the season as she doubled to bring Madi Moore in the in the bottom of the third inning.
Key Points
· Moore had three hits on the day, with two hits against Texas Tech.
· Castaneda also had a hit in each game.
