LINCOLN, Neb. -- The University of North Dakota women's golf team concluded the opening round of action at the Summit League Women's Golf Championships from Wilderness Ridge Golf Course in Lincoln, Neb.
As a team, the Fighting Hawks sit in seventh place at +22 following a 306 during the opening 18 holes in a tight leaderboard that sees NoDak sitting just six shots out of fifth place and nine back from fourth with two rounds remaining.
UND also placed two players inside the top-20 among individual scores, with rookie
Emersyn Walker pacing the squad with a 75 (+4) to sit 18th overall. The freshman had a team-best four birdies, with a trio coming in the front-9, while shooting an even-35 to close out her round.
Morgan Hetletved finished her opening day tied for 19th following a 76 (+5) thanks to a birdie and 12 pars to rank second among UND scorers on the day.
The Fighting Hawks will begin the second round of play tomorrow at 8 a.m.
