COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Incoming freshman defenseman Jake Livanavage has been named to the World Junior Summer Showcase roster, as announced by USA Hockey on Thursday.

The World Junior Summer Showcase, which will also include players from Finland and Sweden, serves as an evaluation for athletes seeking to make their respective national teams for the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship, which will be held Dec. 26, 2023, through Jan. 5, 2024, in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Livanavage will come to North Dakota following three seasons with Chicago (USHL), starring along the blue line. The Phoenix, Ariz., native tallied 90 points in 152 career games in a Steel uniform while finishing with a +42 rating and reaching the postseason in all three years.

In addition to daily practices, which are open to the public and free of charge, the week-long World Junior Summer Showcase will include eight international games. Tickets to the games are available by clicking here or visiting the USA Hockey Arena box office.
