Fatima Ibrahim rounds out Women's Basketball freshman class

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota Women's Basketball team rounds out the 2023-24 freshman class with Fatima Ibrahim. Ibrahim joins the Fighting Hawks from the Crown Royal Academy.

She comes to North Dakota following an impressive senior campaign. She led Royal Crown Academy in double- doubles in the Ontario Scholastic Basketball Association, was named a 2022 Canletes All Canadian All Star and game MVP, named Michigan Prep Girls Hoops Standout, and a member of the Canada Elite U17 GUAA. 

Head coach Mallory Bernhard on Ibrahim: "We are excited to welcome Fatima to the Fighting Hawks family. She comes to us from right up the road after spending the last year competing and practicing with some of the best competition in Canada and a great coach in Coach Lee. Fatima has a lot of potential and the desire to work to go with it, we are looking forward to her joining us in Grand Forks."
