Former Hawk Matt Norman Signs with Georgian Club BC Iverioni-Gori

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Former North Dakota guard Matt Norman, who spent two years on the Fighting Hawks, has now signed a professional contract with BC Iverioni-Gori of the Turkish Superliga.

During his time in Grand Forks, Norman made his name with his three-point shooting. This past season he hit on over 42% of his attempts from downtown, which was tops on the team and his 2.5 treys per game ranked sixth in the Summit League. He hit 81 three-pointers, which was four shy of breaking UND's single season record. He finished second on the team in scoring with 11.4 points per game en route to winning Summit League Sixth Man of the Year. In his first season with UND he was third on the team with 9.1 points per game and second on the team with 54 three-pointers made.

BC Iverioni-Gori was founded in September of 2021 and played in the Georgian A-League in 2022-23. They won promotion to the Superliga for 2023-24.
