GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- Sophomore Nathan Peyerl was named the Summit League Peak Men's Golfer of the Week on Thursday afternoon, as announced by the league office. Peyerl becomes the first Fighting Hawk to earn a conference weekly honor since joining the Summit League in 2018-19 after a stellar performance at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate earlier this week. 

The Fargo, N.D., native, turned in his best performance in the green and white, placing third in the 73-player field at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate with a 54-hole total of 207 (-6). Peyerl closed the event with his best collegiate round, carding a 66 with five birdies and no bogeys. He made 12 birdies and helped UND tie for fifth as the Fighting Hawks equaled the program's best single-round with a 277 (-7) to finish the fall season.
