At the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener in Boston on Saturday, Keeler broke the 5,000-meter school record with a PR time of 15:57.19. She broke the record of
Yonca Kutluk, who set it at 16:07.70 at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational last season. Keeler's new best was an improvement of more than 50 seconds.
Prior to the start of the season, Keeler was one of four Fighting Hawks named Athletes to Watch in the Summit League this season. She placed seventh in the 3,000 meters (9:47.26) and eighth in the 5,000 meters (17:24.72) at the 2024 Summit League Indoor Championships. During last year's regular season, she posted the No. 2 time in school history in the 3,000 meters at the Washington Invitational with a time of 9:40.61.
North Dakota will visit North Dakota State for the Dakota Alumni Open on this Friday and Saturday.
