In the top of the seventh, Albrecht kept the Fighting Hawks in the game as she kept EIU off the board with runners on first and second and one out. In the bottom of the frame, Taya Hopfauf reached on an error and then moved to second on a groundout. Mariah Peters followed with a single up the middle to make it 4-2. Izzy Haslett followed and singled to third base to put runners on first and second. Brooklyn House came to the plate and singled to center field and brought Peters in to score and make it 4-3 for her first career RBI. Haslett moved to third representing the tying run, but was unable to get home to score.

Rachel Kaufman got the win and Olivia Pierce the save while Carr took the loss.

The Lions jumped on the Fighting Hawks quickly with a four-run bottom of the first inning. SLU picked up another run in the bottom of the second, and in the top of the third Haslett got the first UND hit and second base runner of the game.
