SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota thrower Kenna Curry was named the Summit League Women's Field Peak Performer of the Week, the league offices announced Tuesday afternoon.

Curry led the Fighting Hawks at the Ole Miss Classic last weekend and placed twice. On Friday, she made headlines for UND and placed sixth in the hammer throw with a PR toss of 207-2 (63.14m), moving up to No. 2 in school history in the event. Her new lifetime best is already better than the minimum mark for the Olympic Trials, which is 206-8 (63.00m). On Saturday in Oxford, Curry paced NoDak in the shot put and took eighth with a toss of 49-9 (15.16m).

North Dakota will be in action at three meets this week. The Fighting Hawks are scheduled to compete at the Texas Relays (March 27-28), Stanford Invitational (March 29-30) and Mike Fanelli Track Classic (March 29-30).
