Last Time Out
A handful of North Dakota throwers from the women's team participated in throwing events at the Ole Miss Classic last week. Kenna Curry led the group both days, placing sixth in the hammer throw on Friday and taking eighth in the shot put on Saturday.

Her new lifetime best is already better than the minimum mark required for the Olympic trials, which is 206-8 (63.00m). She also placed eighth in the shot put on Saturday with a distance of 49-9 (15.16m).

Julia Matthews also competed on Friday and had a personal-best throw of 151-10 (46.28m) in the hammer throw, which improved her previous best of 146-3 (44.58m). Kaylynn Red Tomahawk finished right behind her with a mark of 151-6 (46.18m).

Eve Goldstein and Matthews also took part in the shot put at the meet on Saturday. Goldstein finished just outside making finals and was 11th with a throw of 46-5 1/2 (14.16m). Matthews came in 14th and was just shy of making the UND top-10 list, recording a PR of 45-4 1/4 (13.82m) and beating her previous best of 42-8 3/4 (13.02m).
