HAYWARD, Calif./STANFORD, Calif. – The North Dakota distance squad saw action in another pair of late-night California meets on Saturday and came away with three improvements to the UND top-10 list.
After setting a new 3,000-meter steeplechase school record (10:35.60) at Stanford late Friday night,
Jadyn Keeler competed in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic on Saturday evening and placed fifth with a time of 10:45.15.
Frida Giersdorff was also in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in Hayward and recorded a personal-best time of 11:00.34 to place eighth. Her PR moved her up to No. 5 in school history in the event.
In the final moments of Saturday in the central time zone,
Jamie Burns clocked a 10,000-meter time of 30:07.67 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, which was good for the No. 3 time in school history.
At Stanford on Saturday afternoon,
Justice Dick posted an 800-meter time of 1:52.21 and added his name to the UND top-10 list with the seventh-fastest time in program history.
Lennart Lindstrot was briefly on the UND top-10 list in the 800 meters with the No. 10 time in school history after running a time of 1:53.81 at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic, but he was bumped off the list less than an hour later when Dick ran his time at Stanford.
North Dakota will be back in action next weekend with the USD Early Bird in Vermillion, S.D., on Friday and Saturday.
