AZUSA, Calif./LONG BEACH, Calif. – North Dakota completed competition in a pair of California meets on Saturday, with one of the meets ending after 2 a.m. Sunday morning in the central time zone.
Around 12:45 a.m. in North Dakota, Labatte earned the school record in the 1,500 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational with a personal-best time of 3:47.45. He broke the record of teammate
Aleksa Milanovic, who set it at 3:48.40 at the 2023 Drake Relays.
Just minutes before 2 a.m. in the central time zone,
Jamie Burns added his name to the UND top-10 list in the 1,500 meters in Azusa with a time of 3:55.84.
Curry was the top performer for UND at the Beach Invitational on Saturday and placed eighth in the shot put with a throw of 49-8 1/4 (15.14m).
North Dakota will make the short trip to Fargo on Friday to participate in the Bison Open.
