GRAND FORKS, N.D. - No. 8/10 North Dakota will host Indiana State inside the Alerus Center this Saturday. Kickoff between the Fighting Hawks and Sycamores is slated for 3 p.m. The game will be televised on Midco Sports Two. It will also be carried on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network with a pregame show starting at 2 p.m.

North Dakota carries a 5-2 overall record and 3-0 standing in MVFC play after rushing to a 38-19 victory at No. 12/12 Southern Illinois last weekend. The Hawks led 28-0 at intermission and rushed for 311 yards in the win. The offense was powered by Sawyer Seidl, who had 14 carries for 108 yards and three rushing touchdowns. He also added an 11-yard touchdown grab in the third quarter to finish the afternoon with four scores. UND's defense was also impressive, holding SIU QB D.J. Williams to three yards rushing. Prior to kickoff, Williams was averaging 71.2 yards on the ground per game.

Indiana State is 2-5 on the season and 0-3 in league play after falling 38-7 at home to No. 1/1 North Dakota State last Saturday. The Sycamores led 7-0 at the end of the first quarter after a Nick Osho three-yard touchdown run. The Bison scored 10 points in the second quarter to carry a 10-7 advantage into a break. After intermission and a storm delay, NDSU scored 28 unanswered points in the second half and ISU fell 38-7.

This will be just the fourth meeting between the Fighting Hawks and Sycamores in history. UND holds a 2-1 edge in the all-time series, but the last two games have been decided by less than a touchdown. Last season, Indiana State upset North Dakota in a 35-31 stunner in Terre Haute. The year prior, UND escaped with a 36-33 overtime victory inside the Alerus Center. The series originated on Nov. 5, 2022, and UND ran away with a  42-7 victory in Indiana that season.
