RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Greyson Uelmen's euro-step layup with 6.3 seconds remaining capped off an 18-4 run over the final 5:31 of the game, to give North Dakota a 76-74 victory over UC Riverside on Saturday afternoon from SRC Arena.

Along with Uelmen, UND had four other players in double-figures, with

It was another game that the Fighting Hawks won the turnover battle, forcing 21 Highlanders turnovers compared to 11 from themselves. UND turned the 21 turnovers into 27 points, corralling 13 steals on the defensive end. King led the way with four steals.
The Fighting Hawks fell behind 8-3 early in the first half and trailed 21-17 with 10:53 to play early on. An 18-5 burst over the next 6:34 of game play gave the Hawks a 35-26 advantage with 4:19 to play.
Marley Curtis (12) and Anderson (10) carried the load in the first half, combining for 22 of the teams 41 first half points on 8-of-10 shooting, giving UND a 41-32 lead going into the break.
The Highlanders began the second half on a 7-0 and 38-17 extended run to corral a 70-58 lead with 5:31 remaining.
UND then ended the game on an 18-4 run, headlined by 12 points from Uelmen, three from Kraft, two from
George Natsvlishvili and one from King during that stretch to close out the win.
Following a King free throw to make it 70-59, Uelmen (two driving layups) and Kraft (three-pointer) scored on three straight possessions for a quick seven points, to make it 70-66 with 3:19 to play.
Uelmen continued to live in the paint, scoring two more layups to tie the game at 70-70, before Natsvlishvili's put back layup with 1:44 remaining put NoDak up 72-70. It was the Hawks first lead since the team was up 47-45 with 13:24 remaining in the game.
Following a UC Riverside miss and an Anderson defensive rebound, Uelmen just beat the 30 second shot-clock on the other end to go up 74-70 with 54 seconds to play. This concluded a 16-0 run from the Hawks.
The Highlanders then drew a foul on the other end, where Andrew Henderson connected on one-of-two free throws to make it 74-71 with 35.8 seconds to play.
The Highlanders then fouled Kraft who missed the front-end of a 1-and-1, which led to UC Riverside coming down the court and De'Undrae Perteete Jr. connecting on a three-pointer with 24 seconds remaining to tie the score at 74-74.
The ball was then in Uelmen's hands, as the guard made a play and finished at the basket to give UND a 76-74 lead.
UC Riverside had one last opportunity, but Henderson's three-point attempt for the win rimmed out, giving North Dakota a hard-fought victory.
