GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Continuing its December homestand to close out the 2025 calendar year, North Dakota women's basketball will face a familiar opponent in Mayville State on Wednesday evening. Tip off is currently set for 7 p.m. inside the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.        
 
The Fighting Hawks hold the all-time advantage over the Comets with a 15-1 series record. The latest matchup ended in a 73-61 victory for UND while the lone loss came on December 15, 2023, by a narrow score of 75-68. Each of the previous 16 games in the series have been played in Grand Forks and Wednesday's contest will be no different. It will also serve as the first-time head coach Dennis Hutter faces his previous school where he coached for 19 seasons.
