The No. 42-ranking is the best the Fighting Hawks have ever been ranked since the creation of the poll in 2011. The previous-best ranking UND has received came two weeks ago, when the Fighting Hawks sat No. 44. North Dakota is also the highest ranked team from the Summit League in the poll, trailed by South Dakota (No. 47).
As a team, UND has four student-athletes ranked in the top-25 in their respective events nationally.
Jadyn Keeler (10,000 meters) and
Kenna Curry (hammer throw) lead the women and are both No. 6 in their events.
Ethan Thomas paces the men's squad and is No. 17 in the NCAA in the shot put.
Malene Kollberg is No. 20 in the heptathlon, while Keeler also ranks No. 22 in the 5,000 meters.
