Greyson Uelmen and
Zach Kraft from the North Dakota men's basketball team earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, announced by the organization on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2026 Academic All-District basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes the basketball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
In order to be eligible, a student athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while being at least a sophomore academically and must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of games.
Kraft appeared in 34 games this season, garnering 25 starts, averaging 8.1 points and 2.1 rebounds per game on 42.8 percent from the field and 39.9 percent from deep. The Grand Forks, N.D. native averaged 24.6 minutes per contest, connecting on a team-high 73 three pointers. Kraft scored in double figures 13 times, hitting three or more three pointers 15 times. He had a career-high 22 points on 6-of-7 from deep on Jan. 22 at Oral Roberts.
Uelmen led the Hawks in scoring at 16.8 points per game, along with 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game on 49.7 percent from the field, across 35 games and 34 starts. The Excelsior, Minn. native scored 10 or more points in 29 games, including the final 18 contests. The guard had 10 outings with 20 or more points, including 41 points in the quarterfinals of the Summit League Tournament against Denver, setting the record for most points in a single Summit League Tournament all-time with 93.
Uelmen was chosen as a CSC Academic All-America finalist, with those honorees set to be announced on April 14.
Kraft has a 3.51 cumulative GPA, majoring in Communication, while Uelmen owns a 3.65 GPA and is majoring in Business.
