GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The upcoming 2026-27 roster for North Dakota women's basketball is growing, head coach
Dennis Hutter announced on Thursday, as Aliyah Green and Jayda Maves are set to join the Fighting Hawks family.
Aliyah Green | 6-1 | Forward | Andover, Kan. | Andover High School | Butler Community College
Appeared in 30 games with 20 starts for the Grizzlies last season…averaged 7.9 points per game and 5.6 rebounds per game off a shooting percentage of 53.6% during the year…named 2025-26 KJCCC Defensive Player of the Year with All-KJCCC Honorable Mention honors…was also a member of the Grizzles volleyball team, appearing in 13 matches…earned First Team All-Conference honors as a junior and senior at Andover High School while also being named Defensive Player of the Year both times
Coach Hutter on Green: "Aliyah brings an infectious energy and effort to our team. She plays with unbelievable effort and attitude. She has a high motor and an extremely positive attitude. She will bring length, athleticism and toughness to our front court. We are excited to have Aliyah join our family."
Jayda Maves | 5-8 | Guard | Lakewood, Colo. | Green Mountain High School | Western Colorado
Started all 82 appearances in her three seasons with the Mountaineers…averaged 13.1 points and 3.7 rebounds per game in her junior season off a .448 shooting percentage…named 2025-26 All-RMAC Second Team honoree…also previously collected All-RMAC Honorable Mention honors in 2024-25 season…drilled 74 3-pointers in the 2025-26 season…led the RMAC in 3-point field goal percentage (42.8) and triple per game (2.7)…ranked seventh nationally in 3FG% and 17
th in triples per game
