ST. LOUIS – North Dakota senior quarterback Jerry Kaminski netted his second Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season Monday.

The Sun Prairie, Wisc., native accounted for all six touchdowns in No. 7/8 North Dakota's 42-35 road win at Indiana State in the MVFC opener for both programs. Kaminski threw four scoring tosses to take over the FCS lead with 16 on the campaign and added two more on the ground as the Fighting Hawks improved to 4-1 and opened Valley play with a road win for the second straight season.  

Kaminski completed 33-of-48 passes for a career-high 381 yards and added a career-best 86 rushing yards in the victory. Kaminski's total offense output of 457 yards was also a career-high and led all FCS players during the week.

The NoDak signal caller also converted 11 third downs during the game -- five with his legs and six with passes. He clinched the game with a seven-yard rush on a third-and-four that allowed UND to run out the clock.
 
The Fighting Hawks return home following a three-game road swing to face Murray State in the program's annual Homecoming tilt. Kickoff against the Racers is set for 1 p.m. CT and will air linearly on Midco Sports and be streamed on Midco Sports Plus and ESPN+.
