Before UND: Played tight end, defensive end and punted for three years at Kittson County Central High School … Named the 2022 District 9 West-North Defensive Player of the Year … Earned the All-District 9 West-North Award in 2021 and 2022 … Named All-Conference as both a junior and senior … Set the single-season sack record (18.5) and the single-season TFL record (47.5) … Piled up 200 tackles (138) solo in his prep career to go with 56 TFL's, 28 sacks … Also had three fumble recoveries, three forced fumbles and a fumble return for TD … Recorded two interceptions and had a pick-six … Hauled in 27 grabs at tight end for 582 yards and seven scores … Also played basketball for the Bearcats.
